Fall is here!

Are you ready for the brisk air and Pumpkin Spice Lattes?

For most people, September marks the unofficial end of summer. The pages turn from summer vacation, beach trips with sunburns and White Claws, to football, cooler evenings and Pumpkin Beers and #PSLs.

As the weather and eventually leaves turn, we are reminded that seasons come and go every few months, but you can count on those changes happening.

Change is scary for many.

Change is scary for most of the world. It means uncharted waters, unknown challenges, and being out of our comfort zone. But for those destined to be successful in their pursuits, change means growth. That feeling of butterflies in the pit of your stomach means you are doing something or are in a place that is different.

The funny thing about your comfort zone is the only way to grow it, is by getting outside of it.

One of the cornerstones of our culture is the commitment to “getting comfortable, being uncomfortable.” The notion of breaking down muscle fiber to grow stronger.

Taking on new states and cities is scary; and the prospect of new competition and challenges is formidable, but it is the only way for us to continuously push our people to the greatness we desire.

Just like training for a marathon, each long-distance run feels more and more imaginable, until suddenly you are strong enough to run 26.2 miles. As we approach September, we are in the unknown here – however this is when we thrive. We recently opened out third office in Baltimore a month ago, and with that expansion we are seeing new levels of growth on the horizon.

As the familiar routines of the season fade, take a minute on one of those summer nights and ask yourself as we enter the final few months of 2019 – what am I going to do to make sure next summer I am a better version or myself, living a better life for myself and helping the world around me get better?

I am sure the answers you come up with will be different, although they will all include something you haven’t done yet!
